Desmond's, Feb. 27th
People, I can't thank you enough for an incredible birthday party. Desmond's
was PACKED with friends, family and fans on February 27th, 1998. I don't think
any other birthday past or future can match this party.
First of all, we were GOOD. I am a perfectionist, in case you don't already
know that. I'm blue number nine's biggest critic. But I can honestly say
we were kickin' it that night. People were dancing and diggin' the tunes.
Unfortunately, though, despite the fact that my usually camera snapping family
members were out in full force, very few pictures were taken. As soon as my
mom develops hers, I'll post some pictures here.
I want to thank Alonzo, Veronica who I really didn't expect to see, Pooky and Bob,
Mark for the pineapple, Ryan from Jersey City for dancing!, Eddie Decker and his friends,
the entire American Academy of Dramatic Arts crew, Bill Popp and "Tape" Gerry and his wife, Chris,
Dave from Flatlanders who came straight from a gig of his own, Ari of Static 13, Ann Galloway,
all of Everett's college buddies, Armand, my family (Desiree, Elena, Carol, Jeanette & their significant
others), mega extra thanks to Rida & Bridgit and their friend (happy birthday RIDA!) who came all the
way from Drew University, Slim Whittman & friend, Paul Rivers who I finally
met f2f, Raymond (didn't expect to see you), Denise and Gregg Angelo (thanks
for the sweet e-mail), MY MOM Dolores, and especially
Frank for working the door. Thanks to Chris & Karen for the excellent gifts.
Thanks to my bandmates Minoru, joAnn, Natalie, Susan, Jack, Everett and Kim
for the flowers and presents. Thanks to everyone who gave me stuff and bought
me drinks. Apologies for the drunken e-mail I sent that night!!!
I know I'm forgetting someone. But you all know I love you!...that sounds so
corny. How about this - Good people surround me and I am fortunate....eh.
I don't know what to say!
